Every fencing season includes three periods: preparatory, competition, and transition. We offer a clinic, taught by Coach Ina, that addresses the main aspects of each stage.
Members of IFC's 2013 National Champion Men's Epee Team attend these clinics regularly.
- Conditioning Clinic - Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (limit 12 participants). This clinic is built around fencing conditioning, planning the season, nutrition and mental preparation pertaining to the preliminary stage of training. It will include footwork, blade work, and individual lessons. The fee is $85 and includes sports drinks and snacks.
- Pre-competitive Clinic - Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (limit 12 participants). This clinic is designed to address the competition period. It will focus on the pre-competitive stage and the first stage of the competitive period. It will cover specific speed and endurance skills for fencing. There will be drills on technical, tactical, and mental preparation. Individual lessons are available. The fee is $85 and includes sports drinks and snacks.
- Summer Nationals Clinic - Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (limit 12 participants). This clinic provides an opportunity for fencers who have qualified for the Summer Nationals to participate in a full day event with long duration and high intensity. The experience in this clinic will be very close to the type of workload at the Summer Nationals. Moreover, participants will receive tons of useful information related to making the Summer Nationals a personal success. The fee is $85 and includes sports drinks and snacks.
